Tess and Lauren Wells-Hasten

Happy happy happy!

Mother of the Bride

Everyone had fun with Shirley, Lauren's mom. Shirley got on a plane for the first time in over 40 years to come to the wedding; it looks like it was worth the trip from New York!

Marla and Martin

Seen here demonstrating what four left feet look like are Lauren's sister, Marla, and the man she married the following year, Martin.

Alexandra

Tess' beautiful granddaughter, who lived with us at the time.

Lauren, Alexandra and Tess

Finally -- a photo of the new nuclear family. What's a family? It's a home filled with love. Watch out, right-wingers!

Alexandra, Michelle and Ryder

The best uncle in the world poses with his girlfriend and the best niece on the planet.

Tess and Alexandra

They have the same skinny legs and pointy chins, even though you can't see them here.

Shirley

As the night grew later, Lauren became concered that perhaps her mother was tired. She checked with Shirley every hour or so, just to make sure she didn't want to go to bed. This picture was shot about two hours before Shirley finally told Lauren to go take a hike. She was having a good time right where she was, thank you very much.

The Family

At the center of the top row are Marla and Lauren. They are flanked by Ben on the left and Susan, on the right. Seated are Shirley and Martin.

Lauren and Tess

The smiles speak for themselves.

The Brides

Shot about fifteen minutes after the ceremony, Lauren's gardenia is already flattened and brown from hugging every guest. She's making a face because the sun's in her eyes; Tess just thinks she's being cute. Lucky Lauren!

Here Come the Brides

Our entrance, to the strains of "And I Love Her."

Jeff and Alexandra

Alexandra's father, Jeff, came to visit from New York so he could spend some time with his daughter while Tess and Lauren were busy with last minute wedding preparations.
